Planning and management of research exchange events
We provide a meeting place and matching support for researchers who wish to form research teams across organizations and institutions.
-
Intramural Fund for Integration of Different Fields
To promote bottom-up joint research between Tokyo Tech and the School of Medicine and Dentistry, we will provide research funding support for research projects that cross different fields of study.
02. research organization formation
In addition to research promoted by individual researchers, the university supports the formation of cross-divisional research groups across university departments to promote agile and innovative projects.
-
Research Unit
Groups that promote flexible research based on the University’s research strategy and specific mission are established as research units for a limited period of time.
-
research entity
To serve as a foundation for the formation of an international research center at Tohoku University, specific research topics are grouped together as a university-wide cross-sectional organization and established as a research promotion body.
-
domain proponent
The Area Promotion Body has been established for the purpose of implementing specific important research areas in a university-wide and strategic manner.
03. seminar on research public relations and strengthening research capabilities
URA and university public relations collaborate to support the dissemination of research results. We also accept general inquiries about research public relations, such as: “I want to send information overseas, but I don’t know what to do,” “I want to make a video, but I don’t know how to do it,” “I want to know what kind of companies are available,” and so on.
-
English Press Release Support
We support domestic and international dissemination of research results (English press releases). This section provides detailed information on the procedure for preparing manuscripts and the media used to disseminate them.
-
Production of “Science for All”
We produce content to deliver the activities of researchers and cutting-edge research to a wide range of citizens, and to provide important opportunities to deepen connections with society.
We will introduce “Science News for Everyone,” which disseminates the contents and results of specialized research activities in an easy-to-understand and friendly format. -
Seminar planning and management
To strengthen the University’s research capabilities, we hold various seminars for English-language paper authors to increase the number and improve the quality of papers written in English. Archives of past seminars are also available.
04. research equipment, resources and private research support services
There are research facilities and systems, both on and off campus, that are conveniently available to researchers at the University.
-
Initiatives for Sharing Research Facilities
In order to promote “visualization,” “consolidation,” and “efficiency” of research facilities so that everyone can make use of the various research facilities on campus, the following efforts are being made to foster an education and research environment that is attractive to world-class researchers and conducive to the development of excellent researchers.
