summary
The Research Promotion Body is a unique research organization established by the University to promote strategic development as a university-wide cross-sectional organization by grouping innovative specific research fields conducted individually by each full-time faculty member under a specific research theme, beyond the organization of departments, in order to serve as a foundation for the formation of an international research center at the University.
Specifically,
- Those that have research seeds or research resources that respond to corporate needs, etc., and aim to promote industry-academia-government collaboration research.
- Large-scale national project research, etc. for adoption
- Grouping of basic or budding research
The system will be installed when one of the following applies.
In principle, research promotion bodies are established for a period of three years or less. Since the first research promotion body was established in 2002, many research promotion bodies have been active, and some of them have developed into common research centers of the University or have functioned as new research nuclei, such as obtaining external funding based on the activities of the research promotion bodies. Some of them have developed into common research centers of the University, while others have obtained external funding based on their activities.
In fiscal year 2028, the role to be played by the Research Promotion Body was reviewed, including changing its name from “Innovation Research Promotion Body” to “Research Promotion Body” and changing its establishment period from five years to three years.
