What is Scival?
Elsevier’s SciVal is a research strength analysis tool that makes it easy to obtain objective data on the research strength of more than 23,000 research institutions and 234 countries and regions worldwide.
- Analysis of researchers, groups of researchers, literature sets, topics, research areas, and publications (journals) is also possible.
- Scopus, the world’s largest database of abstracts and citations, is our data source.
- Scopus is not available at the University.
How to access Scival
- You can log in at https://www.scival.com/.
- scival_user_registration_and_signin
- The e-mail address and password used are the same as for other Elsevier products (e.g. ScienceDirect).
- When accessing from off-campus, the connection must be an SSL-VPN connection.
How to use Scival
Please take advantage of the materials provided by Elsevier for its users.
The use of basic functions and examples of analysis are presented in pdf and video.
- Information for Users
- The University does not contract the Collaboration module.
- Full-time faculty members of the University are registered as researchers/groups on an organizational basis. This information can be used for analysis by individuals and departments.

- Data is changed periodically. Right now, members enrolled as of April 1, 2024 are eligible.
- Information is overwritten, so please contact us if you wish to have your analysis done by a past member.
