Tips for Emergent Project Applicants

★ [Important] In order to allow the selection of mock judges, if you wish to practice, please apply as soon as you receive a notification that you have passed the documents. If the number of days from application to interview is short, the mock judges may not be able to select you.

Exercise content

Held online via Zoom meeting for about 40 minutes

1. Presentation and Q with time allocation for the actual performance
2. Comments by mock judges on improvements in presentations, etc.
   ・Mock judges are selected from our university’s faculty members, professors emeritus, and URA who have obtained external funding and have experience in screening.

1. Become a member of the Slack channel “#st-rdc-Research Support Information and Consultation Desk”
2. Press the green button at the bottom, “Apply for Interview Practice,” to start the workflow, and follow the instructions to enter the required information.

3. Support for Adopters

In order to help accelerate the research of emergent candidates, various departments of the university provide the following research support.
For details on the details of the support, please contact the department in charge.

Support Details

• Up to 1,000 Supercomputer TSUBAME4.0 can be used at half the on-campus fee.
• Exemption from usage fees for research infrastructure provided by the Research Infrastructure Management Organization up to 150,000 yen/year

• *Only one of the following can be used, and cannot be used together. It is planned to expand sequentially in the future.
• Core Facility Center (CFC) usage fee waived up to 150,000 yen/year
• Bioscience Integration Support Facility (BIO) Usage fee waived up to 150,000 yen/year

• TSUBAME4.0 Support: Accepted from April TSUBAME points can be purchased until December 31 (use until the end of March)

• NOTE
• The content and targets of support may be reviewed each year taking into account the number of emergent researchers and other conditions.
• For researchers in Phase 2 of emergent development, there is a separate JST support system “Research Environment Improvement Support”. Details will be provided to the target researchers individually.
