Science Tokyo has a variety of support systems to expand the possibilities of our researchers’ activities.
We provide support by assigning research administrators (URA) with specialized skills in research support.
The research support introduced on this page is mainly supported by the Research Development Center. For consultations on support other than this, please contact us through the individual URA from the member introduction or from the inquiry page.
01. Support for obtaining research funds
Information for researchers who want to obtain research funding is posted. There are various support menus for each fund, such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research and external research funds solicited by ministries and foundations.

Grant-in-Aid Application (KAKENHI)
We provide various support systems to support the adoption of Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research by faculty members and researchers at our university.

Interview practice for large amount of funding
We provide interview practice for the adoption of large-scale external funding such as JST Pre-Introduction, Emergent Research Support Project, and ASPIRE.

External fund information distribution system “SHIORI”
We post information on the recruitment of the institute, on-campus deadlines, where to submit documents, etc. sent to the university, and there is also an email delivery function.

02. Internationalization Support
In order to strengthen the university’s research capabilities and international competitiveness, we are promoting the formation of international research centers, the formation of human networks, and the establishment of overseas bases.

We are building an international network of researchers and supporting international collaborations to support it.

Science Tokyo ANNEX
We have established overseas bases and offices to strategically promote and implement international educational, public relations, and research activities in collaboration with overseas universities, research institutes, companies, etc.
03. Support for interdisciplinary integration
For researchers who want to promote interdisdisperative research with researchers from different fields, we provide opportunities to meet, support interdisciplinary research projects, and support research funds.

Science Tokyo Crosspoint Platform
It is a platform where researchers from Science Tokyo aim to collaborate to create innovative value. URA will help you match researchers who want to collaborate with other fields and expand the scope of their research.

Science Crosspoint Award
Using the Science Tokyo Foundation, we will support research awards for cross-disciplinary research with the aim of promoting bottom-up joint research within the university.
04. Research Promotion
The URA and the University Public Relations Division work together to support the dissemination of research findings. We also welcome general inquiries regarding research communications, including outreach to international audiences, video production, and referrals to illustrators.

Support for English press releases
We support the overseas dissemination of research results (English press releases). We will introduce in detail the procedure for creating a manuscript and the medium of transmission.

Production of “Science for All”
We produce content to deliver the activities of researchers and cutting-edge research to a wide range of citizens, and to deepen connections with society.
