Message
After graduating from Tokyo Institute of Technology (now Institute of Science Tokyo) where I earned a Master of Science degree, I engaged in business development (in-/out-licensing, joint research, etc.) and corporate planning (mid-term strategy formulation, M&A, PMI, etc.) at a major Japanese pharmaceutical company and three biotech ventures for more than 30 years.
During this time, I had the privilege of completing three overseas assignments as an expat in the UK and the US (about ten years in total), where I witnessed firsthand the significant differences in ways of thinking and business practices between Japan and other countries.
Leveraging these experiences, I hope to help realize various partnerships between overseas universities/companies, maximize the value of this university’s research assets, and further contribute to enhancing the university’s global presence.
