We will hold a cross-disciplinary matching event “Science Crosspoint 2025 – The Future of Research Expanding from Here”.
*The deadline has been extended. If you would like to make a presentation, please apply by September 30 (Tuesday).

What is “Science Crosspoint”?

This is a networking event where researchers and graduate students from Tokyo University of Science can learn about each other’s research and gain new perspectives and opportunities for joint research.
At Science Crosspoint 2025, young researchers and doctoral students will present their research and the possibilities of interdisciplinary research, and through discussions, they will be invited to participate in convergence research.

・If you want
to deepen or expand your research through interdisciplinary research, such as discussing questions you feel in your daily research from a different perspective, finding breakthroughs
in current issues, developing new research fields
, or contributing
to the realization of the vision of Visionary Initiatives (VI), please feel free to join us.

Who is eligible?

Presenters: Young researchers (within 8 years of obtaining the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research) and doctoral students
General Participants: Anyone who belongs to Tokyo University of Science

Date and time: Thursday, October 9, 2025, 17:00-19:00
Venue: Kuramae Kaikan Royal Blue Hall (Ookayama Campus)
Participation fee: Free (advance registration required)

  • Presentations by young researchers and students (doctoral students) who wish to collaborate (posters and lightning talks)
  • Presentations of results (posters) and experiences of convergence research by the 2nd winners of the 2023 Tokyo Medical and Dental University-Tokyo Institute of Technology Matching Fund

Information for Presenters

The poster (A0 vertical) used for the presentation will be printed by the secretariat. If you wish to print it, please submit it by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1. If you do not submit your poster on time and use an existing poster, please bring your own poster on the day.

Matching Fund – Science Crosspoint award

The Matching Fund is a fund aimed at promoting bottom-up collaborative research within the university for young researchers at Science Tokyo.
We provide grants for interdisciplinary research that combines the research ideas, skills, and knowledge of researchers on campus, and for research that has excellent ideas that can be expected to develop in the future and has a specific theme.

Application start date: October 9, 2025 (Thursday) Application
deadline: November 7, 2025 (Friday)

Target: Graduate School Doctoral Program ~ Researchers Selected within
8 years of obtaining Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Applications: Up to 10 applications
Support amount: Up to 1 million yen for principal investigators and co-principal investigators
