Nishizawa, Izumi
Institute of Integrated Research
University Research Administrator (URA)
Message
After graduating from the University of Tokyo with a master's degree, I joined Furukawa Mining Co., Ltd., completed my engineering doctorate at the University of Tokyo, then worked at Komatsu Ltd. for 33 years. I was involved in research and development of tunnel boring machines, engine research and development, and industry-academia collaboration. Since 2020, I have been working at Komatsu Collaborative Research Cluster for Innovative Technologies at Suzukakedai Campus. Retiring from Komatsu in June 2024, I started work as a URA at Tokyo Tech in July, continuing to be in charge of Komatsu Collaborative Research Cluster. I hope to expand the scope of collaboration with faculty members and laboratories in each department, as well as other Collaborative Research Clusters and Collaborative Research Programs, to create new value for a better future together.
