Graduated from Waseda University, Faculty of Science and Engineering; licensed patent attorney; 32 years of experience working for an electronics manufacturer; oversaw collaborative research between their Silicon Valley laboratory and local startups; after returning to Japan, engaged in commercialization of internet telephony technology; later with their intellectual property division, handled cases regarding standard-essential patents, patent pools, and patent trolls; contributed expertise as a lecturer for the Intellectual Property Association, the Patent Attorneys Association, and others. "In the intellectual property ecosystem, and with our industry partners, I work to support the advancement of Tokyo Tech property creation and utilization."
