On August 5, 2025, a kick-off meeting was held between Space Innovation PDs and Sub-PDs. Under the leadership of PD Professor Yasuto Sekine (Institute for Earth Life Sciences (ELSI)), six Sub-PDs participated in a hybrid format.

At the meeting, Space Innovation’s visions of “Seeking Pure Truth”, “Building a Social System Beyond Earth”, “Human Habitation and Medical Care in Space (Habitation Medical)”, and “Connecting Low Earth Orbit with Infrastructure” were shared. There was a lively discussion about the possibility of convergence of disciplines.

Sub-PDs and PIs from various fields such as science, engineering, medical and dentistry, and liberal arts have taken a step forward with infinite hope and potential under Space Innovation.
