The Science Crosspoint Award is an internal university award aimed at promoting bottom-up collaborative research (organized by the Research Planning Division and the Research Development Center). It supports the launch of collaborative research projects involving researchers from different fields, not limited to medical-engineering collaboration.

In fiscal year 2026, with the launch of VI ( Visionary Initiatives ), we will provide research funding to proposals that represent “research initiated through new encounters and integration” and that feature outstanding ideas with promising future potential.

*The name of this award has been changed following a review of the support provided under the “Interdisciplinary Research Support” program, which was in effect through fiscal year 2022.
